Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15511, dated June 6, 2005, the Legislature did authorize the County Execute to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Local Union No. 42 of the International Association of Fire Fighters regarding the terms and conditions of employment of members of its bargaining unit within the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for the period of January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecutor's office now proposes to provide transportation allowances in the amount of $65.00 per month per employee for all Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys of the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office who do not presently have parking provided by the County as an amendment to the 2005-2008 Memorandum of Understanding with the Local Union No. 42 of the International Association of Fire Fighters bargaining unit; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has provided a list of the employees who would be eligible to receive the transportation allowances which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the total amount of $1,435.00 needs to be transferred within the 2005 General Fund budget for the Prosecuting Attorney to cover the cost of the amendment; and,
WHEREAS, the bargaining unit representatives of the Local Union No. 42 of the International Association of Fire Fighters recommend this amendment to the 2005 - 2008 Memorandum of Understanding; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfers and the proposed amendment; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers be and hereby are made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an amendment to the 2005-2008 Memorandum of Understanding with the Local Union No. 42 of the International Association of Fire Fighters bargaining unit to provide for transportation allowances for all Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys of the Jackson County Prosecutor's office who are not presently provided with parking in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
