Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City, MO, for a twelve-month study of the Lee's Summit Road Corridor; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Lee's Summit has provided the County with funds to reimburse the County for expenses the County advanced on the Woods Chapel Road Project which were a Lee's Summit obligation; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works proposes to use a portion of this City of Lee's Summit reimbursement to pay the costs of the Lee's Summit Road corridor study; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place these funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Special Road & Bridge Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
