WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 168-98 for the furnishing of a mobile platform with scissor lift for use by the Facilities Management Department; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon, bids from the following:

Halco, Inc. $10,311.25
Kansas City, KS
Rental Service Corporation $10,599.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Hertz Contractors Supply $11,368.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends that award be made to Halco, Inc., of Kansas City, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
