Title
A RESOLUTION partially rescinding Resolution 20867, dated February 14, 2022, transferring $75,000.00 within the 2022 Health Fund, and authorizing the County Executive to execute Cooperative Agreements with certain outside agencies that provide public health-related and other public services to the citizens of Jackson County, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $75,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 20867, dated February 14, 2022, the Legislature did authorize contracts with thirty-six outside agencies that provide public health-related and other public services to the citizens of Jackson County, in the aggregate amount of $3,000,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, one of the agencies awarded a contract by Resolution 20867 is Swope Ridge Geriatric Center, in the amount of $100,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, since the adoption of Resolution 20867, Swope Ridge has advised County staff that it has closed its care center, effective March 3, 2022; and,
WHEREAS, in view of this closing, it is appropriate that Resolution 20867’s allocation to Swope Ridge be reduced by $75,000.00 to a new amount of $25,000.00, to reflect the period during 2022 when Swope Ridge was actually providing services; and,
WHEREAS, it is also appropriate that this now unallocated $75,000.00 be reallocated to Kansas City CARE Clinic dba KC CARE Health Center and to Kansas City Community Gardens, agencies that had previously applied for, but had not been awarded County funding, in the respective amounts of $50,055.00 and $24,945.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary in order to place the needed funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the portion of Resolution 20867, dated February 14, 2022, that awarded a contract to Swope Ridge Geriatric Center in an amount in excess of $25,000.00, be and is hereby rescinded
