Body
WHEREAS, the City of Independence Water Department has requested permanent easement and temporary construction easements through a portion of River Bluff Park; and,
WHEREAS, the easements requested, which are described in the attached Agreement, are necessary for the construction of a 36" Water Transmission Main to service the eastern portion of the City of Independence; and,
WHEREAS, the National Park Service and the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department have reviewed these easement requests and have no objections; and,
WHEREAS, the granting of these easements is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreements with the City of Independence Water Department.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
