Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission is planning to construct a traffic roundabout, which will feature a continuous circular yielding traffic flow with no traffic signals, at Missouri Highway 7 and Colbern Road in the summer of 2004; and,
WHEREAS, the Commission proposes to build a portion of the roundabout on County right-of-way; and,
WHEREAS, the Commission will be responsible for all detours and signing required to construct the roundabout, at no cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the understanding of the Commission and the County regarding this project; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
