Body
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Keys Community Council's "Keys and Pizza Hut" program is designed to improve academic achievement through life skills training to assist in better choices, by providing a core educational curriculum, and by promoting substance abuse awareness; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Keys Community Council has received a grant from Pizza Hut of Kansas City for this program, in the amount of $20,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is subject to a local match in the amount of $20,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Keys Community Council has requested anti-drug sales tax funds in the amount of $20,000.00 to provide the required local match for this program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends funding in the amount of $20,000.00 from his grant match account; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the Kansas City Keys Community Council; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
