Body
WHEREAS, various County departments have a need for moving and relocating services; and,
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twenty-four-month term and supply contract, with three twelve-month options to extend, for moving services to A. Arnold Kansas City of Olathe, KS, under the terms and conditions set forth in 16th Judicial Circuit of Missouri IFB-10004706-24-27; and,
WHEREAS, the Director recommends award under section 1030.4, Jackson County Code, 1984, for the reason that this will allow the County to take advantage of discounts offered to large entities; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation with an estimated annual expenditure of $65,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made under the existing government contract as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments on the contract, including final payment, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are available in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with an estimated annual expenditure of $65,000.00.
