Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has awarded the County a grant in the amount of $15,000.00 to provide for the retention of a consultant to update and revise the Jackson County Local Emergency Operations Plan; and,
WHEREAS, under this grant, the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has selected the Louis Berger Group of St. Louis, MO, to provide these updating and revision services; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive proposes to contract with the Louis Berger Group to provide these services under a Professional Services Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, in order to place the grant funds in the appropriate spending, an appropriation is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation as an amendment to her 2003 proposed County budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2003 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
