A RESOLUTION congratulating Father William Bauman upon his retirement and acknowledging the many contributions he has made during his 44 years of priesthood.

Body

WHEREAS, Father William Bauman, the pastor of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in south Kansas City, has recently announced his retirement from active parish ministry after 44 years of service; and,

 

WHEREAS, Father Bauman was born to John and Theresa Bauman, and has two brothers, John and Joe, and two sisters, Linda and Mary;  and,

 

WHEREAS, Father Bauman is the founder of the Pastoral Ministry Center and has also served the parishes of the Cathedral, St. Elizabeth, St. Stephen, St. Charles, and Christ the King; and,

 

WHEREAS, Father Bauman will continue his commitment to priestly service by assisting with parish masses throughout Kansas City and by providing pastoral care to the poor, sick, and elderly; and,

 

WHEREAS, during his retirement,  Father Bauman looks forward to a trip to Australia to visit his sister, spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks, and spending more time in prayer and creative work such as teaching, writing, music performance, and music composition; therefore,

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Father William Bauman on his retirement, extends sincere appreciation for his service to the community during his 44 years of active parish ministry,  and wishes him success and enjoyment in all of his future endeavors.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
