A RESOLUTION congratulating Lee's Summit High School senior Chris Connor, upon his victory in the 112-pound division at the 1997 Missouri State Class 4A Wrestling Championship.

Body
WHEREAS, Chris Connor, a senior at Lee's Summit High School, has achieved a series of impressive wins as a wrestler for the Tigers; and,
WHEREAS, Chris is a three-time district champion for the Tigers; and,
WHEREAS, in 1995 he finished sixth in state competition, and took fourth place in 1996; and,
WHEREAS, Chris has now surpassed all previous victories by winning the 1997 Missouri State Class 4A Wrestling Championship in the 112- pound division; and,
WHEREAS, Chris had a 94-19 record over his four year career, holding third place in school history in wins; and,
WHEREAS, the coaching staff guiding Chris to his outstanding win consists of Head Coach Ethan Hauck and Assistant Coaches Don Graham (son of County Legislator John Graham), John Repp, Bryan Elam, and Wes Knox; and,
WHEREAS, Chris is a member of the Missouri Junior Greco and Freestyle teams; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Chris Connor on his win at the Missouri 4A State Wrestling Championship for 1997, and for his outstanding record during his four years as a wrestler for the Lee's Summit High School Tigers.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
