Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Recycling Association has requested support from Jackson County as a sponsor to the 10th annual recycling conference to be held in Kansas City, Missouri, June 5-7, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the conference includes workshops, panel discussions, exhibitors, presenters, site tours, recycling awards, live and silent auctions, and other networking events relating to recycling and waste diversion activities; and,
WHEREAS, the silver sponsorship level includes exhibit booth space and up to 2 registered attendees; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a cooperative agreement with the Missouri Recycling Association, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor, at an actual cost to the County not to exceed $1,500.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
