Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18053, dated January 7, 2013, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with One Goal Consultants of Independence, MO for the ex-felon helpline, at a cost to the County not to exceed $30,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, One Goal Consultants has submitted a funding proposal for the use of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for additional support for this program; and,
WHEREAS, this program will assist ex-felons in Jackson County to connect to resources such as clothing, mental health support, and other adjustment issues, which will serve to prevent and/or reduce drug and violent crimes, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $20,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place the funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2013 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with One Goal Consultants for the furnishing of the ex-felon helpline, in the amount of $20,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
