IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an Amendment to the Cooperative Agreement for Services with the City of Kansas City, MO for the implementation of the City's Local Law Enforcement Block Grant program. Intro RESOLUTION 12159, April 6, 1998 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2745, dated October 13, 1997, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement for Services with the City of Kansas City, MO, for the implementation of the City's Local Law Enforcement Block Grant program; and, WHEREAS, under this program, the City was to pass-through $500,000 in United States Department of Justice funding to the County to be utilized by the Prosecuting Attorney's office in the administration of its Drug Court; and, WHEREAS, at the time of the execution of the Cooperative Agreement, it was determined that a portion of these federal funds had been delayed, so that the funding provided for in the Agreement was less than the agreed upon amount; and, WHEREAS, the City has advised that the remainder of the agreed upon funding is now available and has requested that the attached Amendment be executed to provide a mechanism by which these funds can be turned over to the County; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and is hereby authorized to execute the attached Amendment to the Cooperative Agreement for Services with the City of Kansas City, MO. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
