Body
WHEREAS, the COMBAT Commission has recommended funding for the Resource Development Institute ("RDI") for the facilitation of a substance abuse needs assessment for Lee's Summit, Missouri, at cost to the County not to exceed $15,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, RDI will consult with a variety of community social services in the Lee's Summit, Missouri, area to collect information they have accumulated while providing substance abuse treatment services to those individuals and families needing such services; and,
WHEREAS, RDI's research staff will synthesize the data from interviews, focus groups, organization/public surveys, to identify current substance abuse treatment priority issues and critical needs, and to seek collaboration among treatment agencies; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County a Cooperative Agreement with Resource Development Institute of Kansas City, Missouri, at a cost to the County not to exceed $15,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
