IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a contract for the furnishing of a lowboy trailer for use by the Public Works Department to G. W. Van Keppel Company of Kansas City, KS, in the actual amount of $41,020.00, and declaring two Miller tiltbed trailers and one Fontaine transport trailer as surplus and authorizing their disposal by way of trade-in. Intro RESOLUTION # 12398, October 19, 1998 INTRODUCED BY Dixie M. Flynn, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited written bids for the furnishing of a lowboy trailer for use by the Public Works Department; and, WHEREAS, the only bid received was from G. W. Van Keppel Company of Kansas City, KS; and, WHEREAS, the acquisition of this lowboy trailer will render three existing trailers, described on the attached request for legislative action, as surplus property; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of these three existing trailers by way of trade-in; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the three existing trailers be and hereby are declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of them by way of trade-in...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
