Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19063, dated January 25, 2016, the Legislature did authorize the execution of agreements with certain outside agencies for the furnishing of anti-drug and anti-violent crime treatment activities and purposes, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $2,721,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, on July 28, 2016, COMBAT issued Request for Proposals 53-16 to award the balance of budgeted funds allocated for treatment programs; and,
WHEREAS, the proposals received pursuant to RFP 53-16 were evaluated by outside experts who made funding recommendations to the Jackson County Drug Commission; and,
WHEREAS, after review of the outside evaluators’ recommendations, the Jackson County Drug Commission has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to execute agreements with certain outside agencies engaged in anti-drug and anti-violent crime treatment activities for services from September 1, 2016, and ending on specific dates, as set out below:

WHEREAS, the execution of agreements for the services of these agencies, in the amounts indicated, is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute agreements with the outside agencies listed above, in the respective amounts indicated, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; now therefore,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
