Body

WHEREAS, pursuant to Invitation to Bid No. 20-07, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids for the furnishing of inmate commissary services for use by the Department of Corrections; and,

 

WHEREAS, in the requested solicitation prospectus, suppliers were advised that the contract would be awarded based on the lowest prices proposed to be charged to the inmate customers, with a twenty percent (20%) commission to be payable to the County; and,

 

WHEREAS, a total of nine (9) solicitations were distributed and four (4) responses were received as follows:

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the  award of a twenty-four (24) month contract with a twelve-month extension option to Keefe Commissary of Earth City, MO, as the best bid; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
