IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
A RESOLUTION awarding a contract on Bid No. 53-02 for the purchase of three (3) full size utility vehicles for use by the Public Works Department to Olathe Ford Sales, Inc. of Olathe, KS, in an amount not to exceed $73,949.00, declaring certain existing county vehicles as surplus personal property, and authorizing the Purchasing Director to dispose of them by way of trade-in.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal bids on Bid No. 53-02 for the purchase of three (3) full size utility vehicles for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon, bids from the following:

and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Olathe Ford Sales, Inc. of Olathe, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of these vehicles has rendered as excess to the County's needs, certain existing vehicles described as follows:

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that these vehicles be declared surplus and that he be authorized to dispose of them by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above-described existing county vehicles be and hereby are declared surplus personal property and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of them by way of trade-in.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
