Body
WHEREAS, Homeless Services Coalition of Greater Kansas City (HSCGKC) has submitted a funding proposal for $32,500.00 to support its efforts to provide homelessness services to the citizens of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, HSCGKC is the designated Continuum of Care agency that receives Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds for use in Jackson County and will use the funding to support its administrative costs; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with HSCGKC in the amount of $32,500.00 is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County, and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place the funds in the appropriate spending account, and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2012 Health Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with Homeless Services Coalition of Greater Kansas City, at a cost to the County not to exceed $32,500.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the legislature.
