Body
WHEREAS, Pam Johnson owns part of Lot 7 within the subdivision plat "Holly Hill" and has requested that part of said Lot 7 be vacated; and,
WHEREAS, the legal description for the part of the lot to be vacated is as follows:
Description: The 71,564.64 square feet area in Lot 7, Holly Hill Subdivision to be vacated is generally located west of Slaughter Road on the north side of Old Pink Hill Road and specifically described as:
All that part of Lot 7, HOLLY HILL-LOT 7, a subdivision of Record being part of the North 70 Acres of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 16, Township 49, Range 30 in Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows;
Commencing at the southeast corner of said Southwest Quarter of Section 16; thence North 01 degrees 34 minutes 06 seconds East along the east line of said quarter section, a distance of 333.79 feet to the southeast corner of the North 70 Acres of the East Half of said quarter section; thence North 87 degrees 47 minutes 35 seconds West along the south line of said north 70 acres, a distance of 739.24 feet to the southeast corner of said Lot 7, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing North 87 degrees 47 minutes 35 seconds West along said south line of the north 70 acres and the south line of said Lot 7, a distance of 134.52 feet; thence North 02 degrees 12 minutes 25 seconds East, a distance of 532.00 feet to a point on the north line of said lot; thence South 87 degrees 47 minutes 35 seconds East along said north line, a distance of 134.52 feet to the northeast corner of said lot; thence South 02 degrees 12 minutes 25 seconds West along the east line of said lot, a distance of 532.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Containing 71,564.64 square feet.
WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 17, 1999, the Jackson County Plan Commission took up Ms. Johnson's request and voted to recommend the vacation; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the County that the described part of Lot 7 be vacated; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the above-described part of Lot 7 within the subdivision plat "Holly Hill" designated be and hereby is vacated.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
