IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute agreements to extend the operative terms of existing agreements with certain outside agencies funded by the County's Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund for the 2005 fiscal year term from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005, which are engaged in anti-drug prevention activities and purposes, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $1,705,548.00.

WHEREAS, the COMBAT Commission has recommended that the operative terms of the following existing agreements for the following outside agencies engaged in anti-drug and prevention activities be extended from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005 to provide various public services to the County and its citizens at the levels of funding recommended by the COMBAT Commission on December 21, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, after recalculation, the total sum available for allocation for the extension of the following outside agency agreements is $1,705,548.00; and,
WHEREAS, these agencies for which agreement should be extended until December 31, 2005, and the respective amounts recommended for the 2005 fiscal year term of January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005, are as follows:

WHEREAS, the execution of agreements extending the services of these agencies, in the amounts indicated, is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute agreements extending the operative terms of existing agreements with the agencies listed in this Resolution, in the respective amounts indicated, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
