RESOLUTION # 16060, October 30, 2006

 

INTRODUCED BY Scott Burnett, County Legislator

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 27-06 for the furnishing of lumber and building supplies for use by various county departments, for the upcoming twenty-four month period with two twelve-month options for extension; and,

 

WHEREAS, a total of twenty-six bids were distributed and one response was received from Albert Tamm Lumber of Kansas City, MO; and,

 

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the contract be awarded to Albert Tamm Lumber of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary, including future options to extend, to the accomplishment of the award; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using agencies are contained in the annual County budget.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
