A RESOLUTION partially rescinding Resolution 10666, dated February 13, 1995, and Resolution 10695 dated February 21, 1995, as to the governmental contracts with Sonny Hill Motors of Platte City, MO, and awarding that part of each contract for the furnishing of one Jeep Cherokee in the amount of ($19,770.83) and five Jeep Cherokees in the amount of ($89,572.45) for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to Nevada Auto Mall of Nevada, Missouri, in the actual amount of $109,343.28.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 10666, dated February 13, 1995, the County approved the purchase of one 4x4 pickup truck and five 4x4 compact utility vehicles for use by the Parks and Recreation Department under the 1995 Joint Governmental Fleet Bid, an existing government contract of the City of Olathe, KS, said contract being divided between Shawnee Mission Ford of Shawnee, KS, and Sonny Hill Motors of Platte City, MO; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 10695 dated February 21, 1995, the County approved the purchase of one 4x4 Chevrolet Suburban and one 4x4 compact utility vehicles under an existing City of Olathe, KS government contract from Sonny Hill Motors of Platte City, MO; and,
WHEREAS, due to the insolvency of Sonny Hill Motors of Platte City, MO, the Purchasing Director recommends that its portion of each contract be rescinded and awarded to Nevada Auto Mall of Nevada, MO, under the 1995 Joint Governmental Fleet Bid, an existing contract of the City of Olathe, KS; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Resolution Nos. 10666 and 10695, dated February 13, 1995, and February 21, 1995, respectively, be and hereby are partially rescinded as set out above; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
