Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office's dispatching software system is unreliable and obsolete and needs to be replaced to provide for wireless data communication from the on-board computers in the Sheriff's fleet; and,
WHEREAS, a new system is available from an existing term and supply contract with Alexander Open Systems, but a transfer is needed to cover the cost of this equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 2014 Special Road and Bridge Fund:
