BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
The 3 ± acres are generally located ½ mile south of Ryan Road on the west side of Stillhouse Road and specifically described as a part of the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 7, Township 48 north, Range 29 west of the fifth principal meridian, in Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as:
Description: Commencing at the northeast corner of said quarter quarter section; thence south 02̊07'38" west along the east line of said quarter quarter section, a distance of 548.22 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence north 87̊35'41" west along a line parallel with the north line of said quarter quarter section, a distance of 639.82 feet; thence south 02̊07'38" west parallel with the east line of said quarter quarter section, a distance of 214.30 feet; thence south 87̊35'41" east parallel with the north line of said quarter quarter section, a distance of 639.82 feet to a point on the east line of said quarter quarter section; thence north 02̊07'38" east along said east line, a distance of 214.30 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 3.125 acres, more or less, all being subject to easements, rights of way, and restrictions of record, aka 7214 S. Stillhouse Road.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Floyd Barnett (RZ-2008-454), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on June 19, 2008, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
