BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a certain 3.3 + acre tract, more specifically described as follows:
DESCRIPTION: A 3.3 ± acre tract of land approximately 1/4 of a mile north of Hudson Road on the east side of Hillside School Road, aka 7303 S. Hillside School Road, and more specifically described:
COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SECTION 8, TOWNSHIP 48, RANGE 29 IN JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI; THENCE NORTH 01 DEGREE, 53 MINUTES, 17 SECONDS EAST, 986.80 FEET ALONG THE WEST LINE OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 8, TO THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING OF THIS DESCRIPTION; THENCE CONTINUING NORTH 01 DEGREE, 53 MINUTES, 17 SECONDS EAST, 329.59 FEET ALONG THE WEST LINE OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 8 TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 8; THENCE SOUTH 87 DEGREES, 54 MINUTES, 09 SECONDS EAST, 441.43 FEET ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 8; THENCE SOUTH 01 DEGREE, 53 MINUTES, 18 SECONDS WEST, 328.22 FEET; THENCE NORTH 88 DEGREES, 04 MINUTES, 52 SECONDS WEST, 441.43 FEET TO THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING OF THIS DESCRIPTION. THE ABOVE DESCRIBED TRACT OF LAND CONTAINS 3.33 ACRES AND IS SUBJECT TO ROAD RIGHT OF WAY, EASEMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS OF RECORD, IF ANY. AKA 7303 S. HILLSIDE SCHOOL ROAD.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of David Eickoff (RZ-2000-185), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on March 16, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
