Body
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 26-046 for the furnishing of off road, agricultural, industrial, and specialty tires and associated maintenance and repair for use by various County departments for a twenty-four-month term and supply contract, with one (1) twelve-month option to extend; and,
WHEREAS, a total of 100 notifications were distributed and one (1) response was received and evaluated, with Pomp’s Tire Service, Inc. of Kansas City, MO being the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends an award to Pomp’s Tire Service, Inc. of Kansas City, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation, with an estimated usage annually of $95,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Interim Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are available in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
