Body
WHEREAS, Linda Serrioz, a longtime and very dedicated associate with the 49/63 Neighborhood Coalition, has announced her resignation as the coalition's COMBAT coordinator to take another position; and,
WHEREAS, Linda has been genuinely dedicated to her neighborhood since moving to 57th and Rockhill in Kansas City 10 years ago; and,
WHEREAS, in her position as COMBAT coordinator, she has displayed exemplary service to her community; and,
WHEREAS, her patience and tenacity in working with neighbors to resolve problems has brought about positive changes in many areas within the community; and,
WHEREAS, she has served on many committees, including the city's Property Maintenance Appeals Board, the Streetlight Committee, the Neighborhood Leaders Roundtable, and the Neighborhood/UMKC Negotiation Team; and,
WHEREAS, she is also a founding member of the Rockhill Ridge Neighborhood Association and Citizens Against Residential Encroachment; and,
WHEREAS, additionally, Linda has worked hard to preserve the legacy of neighborhood activist Mary L. Howard, whose life is celebrated by the Mary L. Howard Memorial Garden on 61st street; and,
WHEREAS, Linda will be greatly missed by her neighbors, her peers, and those who have come to rely on her sensibility; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby commends Linda Serrioz for her commitment and dedication to Jackson County residents while serving as COMBAT Coordinator for the 49/63 Neighborhood Coalition, and wishes her well in her future endeavor.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
