WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200465 for the furnishing of traffic signs for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors:
VENDOR AWARD
J & A Traffic $62,235.00
Blue Springs, MO
Custom Products Corp. $35,000.00
Jackson, MS
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that awards be made to J & A Traffic of Blue Springs, MO in an amount not to exceed $62,235.00, and Custom Products Corp. of Jackson, MS in an amount not to exceed $35,000.00, for an estimated aggregate amount not to exceed $97,235.00, as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
