IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION declaring July 19-21, 1996, as the 1996 First Annual Sims-Reynolds Family Reunion Weekend. Intro RESOLUTION 11337, June 24, 1996 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, Phillip "Little Boy" Sims, born in 1878, and Margaret Reynolds-Sims, born in 1880 to Monroe and Henrietta Reynolds, formed the strong roots of the Sims-Reynolds family tree; and, WHEREAS, the 1996 First Annual Sims-Reynolds Family Reunion provides an uplifting and renewing experience for the members of the honorable Sims-Reynolds family; and, WHEREAS, attendees will come from Germany, Kansas, California, Arkansas, New York, Illinois, Indiana, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Tennessee, Nevada, Nebraska, Colorado, Washington, and Missouri; and, WHEREAS, representatives of these five generations will gather for the First Annual Reunion on July 19-21, 1966, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri; and, WHEREAS, the First Annual Sims-Reynolds Family Reunion promises to be a weekend full of exciting family events and activities including a picnic and memorial church service; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature does hereby declare the weekend of July 19-21, 1996, as the Sims-Reynolds Family Reunion Weekend. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately up on its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
