Body
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit North High School Boys Track and Field Team won the Missouri High School State Championship, placing 1st with fifty-two (52) points being the first boys' team in any sport to win a state championship in the school's ten year history; and,
WHEREAS, the track and field team's head coach was Kris Solsberg and the assistant coaches were Tom Jordan, Tavish Whiting, Eric Davis, Andy Morris, and Cam Clover; and,
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit North High School Boys Track and Field Team is comprised of seventeen (17) young athletes some of which set new school records, such as Dustin Andrews who set a school record in high jump of 6'10", Scott Betsher tied the school record in the pole vault with 14'6", Jacob Boone set the school record in the 1600m with a 4:15.94 and in the 3200m with a 9:16.79, and the 4x800m relay team of David Fuchs, Anthony Schulz, Ryan Reynolds, and Jacob Boone beat the school record with a 7:55.10; and,
WHEREAS, the entire team consisted of Jacob Boone: 4 x 800m relay, 1600m, and 3200m; Ryan Reynolds: 4 x 800m relay; David Fuchs: 4 x 800m relay; Anthony Schulz: 4 x 800m relay; Tyrell Brown: 4 x 200m relay, 4 x 100m relay, long jump, 100m; Darryl May: 4 x 200m relay, 4 x 100m; Chris Leverette: 4 x 200m relay, 4 x 100m relay, 4 x 400m relay; Stephen Seals: 4 x 200m relay; Darryl Hill: 4 x 100m relay; Patrick Lenoir: 4 x 400m relay; Darius Walker: 4 x 400m relay, 4 x 300m intermediate hurdles; Sam Boehmer: 4 x 400m relay; Lucas Connelly: 4 x 400m relay; Scott Betsher: pole vault; Andre Echols: shot put; Ryan Pinkston: long jump; Dustin Andrews: high jump; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulate the Lee's Summit North High School Boys Track and Field Team for their dedication and hard work throughout the season and for their magnificent triumph of winning the Missouri High School State Championship Title.

majority of the Legislature.
