AN ORDINANCE appropriating $35,000.00 from the Unappropriated Surplus of the 2006 Recorder’s Fee Fund and authorizing an increase to the contract awarded to Scanning America of Lawrence, KS under the terms and conditions of Electronic Request for Proposal No. PP20051, for the furnishing of scanning services for use by the Records Department, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $35,000.00.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3675, dated September 12, 2005, the Legislature did authorize an award to Scanning America of Lawrence, KS, under the terms and conditions of Electronic Request for Proposal No. PP20051 for the furnishing of scanning services for use by the Records Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has recommended an increase in the contract awarded to Scanning America in the amount of $35,000.00, due to a greater than expected number of images of historical microfilm that need to be scanned and preserved; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the required funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
