Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4085, dated February 2, 2009, the County Legislature did authorize the execution of agreements with certain outside agencies for anti-drug prevention activities and purposes, which included Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, ReDiscover, Inc., and Rose Brooks Center, Inc; and,
WHEREAS, a calculation error occurred in determining the 2009 funding level for these organizations; and,
WHEREAS, COMBAT staff recommends the approval of addenda to the cooperative agreements with these agencies to ensure that all prevention agencies received equal reductions to their 2008 funding levels; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to cover these costs; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the fund balance of 2009 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute addenda to the Cooperative Agreements with Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, at a cost to the County not to exceed $12,500.00, ReDiscover, Inc., at a cost to the County not to exceed $21,250.00, and Rose Brooks Center, Inc., at a cost to the County not to exceed $8,500.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements and addenda thereto.

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
