Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office has been awarded a grant in the amount of $16,552.00 by the Traffic and Highway Safety Division of the Missouri Department of Transportation in furtherance of the Seat Belt Enforcement Grant for the period October 1, 2013, through September 30, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff recommends the use of funds for reimbursement of overtime used for the campaign, promoting the use of child restraints and safety belts with young drivers and parents in the areas of schools and day care centers throughout the County, pursuant to the attached contract with the Traffic and Highway Safety Division; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2013 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
