AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RR (Residential Ranchette), a certain 15 ± acre tract.

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:

Description: A 15 ± acre tract of land generally located ½ mile south of Blue Mills Road on the east side of Twyman Road and specifically described as:

 

A tract of land containing 15.15 acres in the SE 1/4 of Section 14, Township 50 North, Range 31 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Jackson County, Missouri being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of the SE 1/4 of Section 14; thence along the East line of the SE 1/4 of Section 14, S02̊15'50"W, 368.19 feet; thence N88̊06'40"W, 1704.63 feet;  thence S45̊23'11"W, 78.40 feet to a point on the Easterly right-of-way line of Twyman Road, (said Easterly right-of-way line being established by instrument filed in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri at Independence, in Book I-294, at Page 1907, as recorder's Document No. I-98991); thence along the Easterly right-of-way line of Twyman Road, N41̊04'10"E, 186.07 feet to the Southerly corner of Lot 8, Butterworth Meadows Subdivision; thence along the Easterly line of Lot 8, Butterworth Meadows Subdivision to the NE Corner of Lot 8, Butterworth Meadows Subdivision, N42̊07'31"E, 377.47 feet, said corner being on the North line of the SE 1/4 of Section 14; thence along the North line of the SE 1/4 of Section 14, S88̊06'40E, 1644.65 feet to the NE Corner of the SE 1/4 of Section 14, said point being the true point of beginning.  Subject to all public and private road and easements of record if any, aka 2521 N. Twyman Road.

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Kenneth and Kathleen Butterworth (RZ-2003-293), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on February 20, 2003, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
