Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written proposals on RFP No. 59-02 for the furnishing of drug treatment services for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office in its Drug Court program; and,
WHEREAS, in response thereto, he has received bids from Addiction Recovery Services of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO and County Court Services of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO; and,
WHEREAS, after a thorough evaluation, the Prosecuting Attorney, in consideration of the merits of each proposal, recommends a split award of the contract, with each firm being awarded a portion of the contract consistent with the strengths of its proposal; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in not to exceed contracts with the vendors as follows, for the delivery of services through February 29, 2004:

Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
County Court Services $475,446.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Prosecuting Attorney, and that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts thereby made, to the extent that sufficient appropriations are included in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
