WHEREAS, Hillcrest Transitional Housing has been dedicated to providing housing and support services to individuals and families in need, empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency for the past 24 years; and,
WHEREAS, on August 24, 2024, Hillcrest Transitional Housing will celebrate its 24th Anniversary Gala at the Overland Park Convention Center, an event that promises to be a memorable evening of celebration, inspiration, and generosity; and,
WHEREAS, the Gala will feature an array of incredible raffle packages and live auction items, including the highly anticipated Taylor Swift Eras Tour Experience, which includes two upper-level sideline seats to Taylor Swift's concert in Indianapolis, Indiana, along with luxury accommodations and exclusive memorabilia; and,
WHEREAS, this special event will also showcase inspiring stories of Hillcrest's impact, gourmet food and drink, live entertainment, and the opportunity for guests to gather with other champions of Hillcrest’s mission; and,
WHEREAS, the 24th Anniversary Gala will feature the emcee and honorary chair, Cici Rojas, celebrity auctioneer, Trisha Brauer, and entertainer, Daysia Reneau, whose contributions will undoubtedly elevate the evening’s festivities; and,
WHEREAS, this event is made possible through the generous support of sponsors, including Lee's Summit Subaru, Resurrection United Methodist Church, Newmark Zimmer, and Speaks Memorial Chapel, whose commitment to Hillcrest Transitional Housing’s mission is deeply appreciated; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature hereby extends its congratulations and best wishes to Hillcrest Transitional Housing on the occasion of its 24th Anniversary Gala event.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
