Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

Description:

 

The 20 ± acres are approximately ¼ ± mile north of U.S. Highway 24 on the north side of Hoover Road and specifically described as all that part of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 50, Range 30 in Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows: 

 

Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 50, Range 30; thence North 03 degrees 24 minutes 24 seconds East along the West line of said quarter section a distance of 1317.11 feet to the Southwest corner of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 17, said point also being the Point of Beginning; thence continuing North 03 degrees 24 minutes 24 seconds East along the West line of said quarter quarter section a distance of 522.52 feet; thence South 88 degrees 37 minutes 40 seconds East a distance of 417.09 feet; thence North 03 degrees 24 minutes 24 seconds East a distance of 188.54 feet; thence South 88 degrees 37 minutes 40 seconds East a distance of 919.83 feet to a point on the East line of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 17; thence South 03 degrees 27 minutes 38 seconds West along said East line a distance of 711.08 feet to the Southeast corner of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 17; thence North 88 degrees 37 minutes 40 seconds West along the South line of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 17 a distance of 1336.25 feet to the Point of Beginning.  Containing 20.00 acres.

 

Section 2.  The preliminary plat "Hoover Estates," creating a four-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.

 

Section 3.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Ken Willey (RZ-2007-424), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on January 18, 2007, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
