Body
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit West High School Westside Girls Dance Team hosted the Missouri State Dance Team Competition at Lee's Summit High School on February 27, 2010, with more than 90 teams from throughout the state competing in the event; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Westside Girls Dance Team members include Hayley Wagner, Allison McAnulty, Elisa Saladino, Abby Jewell, Jessica Noe, Morgan Smythia, Lauren Brady, Kelsey May, Kayla Nunemaker, Haylee Lewis, Allie Gossage, Maddie Howard, Megan Mitsopolous, Kelsey Burd, Payton Lyon, Raegan Wagner and Olivia Roberts; and,
 
WHEREAS, the dance team is led by captains Hayley Wagner and Elisa Saladino; and,
 
WHEREAS, the dance team is coached by head coach Veronica Scott, and assistant coaches Kristin Moore, Cara Keeble and Julie Castleman; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Westside Girls Dance Team placed first in Jazz and second in Hip Hop; and claimed the first place overall title in the Class 4A championship; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates the Lee's Summit West High School Westside Girls Dance Team on their first-place overall win in the Class 4A championship of the 2010 Missouri State Dance Team Competition and extends sincere best wishes for continued success in all future endeavors.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
