Body
WHEREAS, the twelfth annual "Putting Families First" Family Week, will be held April 18th through April 24th, 2010; and,
WHEREAS, the "Putting Families First" Family Week is an effort to stabilize and secure schools and the community by focusing attention on the importance of families; and,
WHEREAS, during Family Week community organizations, parks and recreation, churches, Chambers, schools and businesses offer family activities, entertainment, education and rewards throughout the community to reinforce the significance of including quality family time in our busy schedules; and,
WHEREAS, this annual event is a crucial component of eliminating school and community challenges and problems by strengthening families; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature supports the twelfth annual "Putting Families First" Family Week to be held April 18th through April 24th and commends the participating entities for their contributions to the betterment of the Jackson County community.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
