IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE appropriating $25,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1996 Park Fund and awarding a contract on Bid No. 80-96 for the furnishing of a wheelchair accessible van for use by the Parks & Recreation Department's Special Recreation Division to Metro Ford of Independence, MO, in the actual amount of $38,391.94. Intro ORDINANCE # 2550, June 24, 1996 INTRODUCED BY Fred Arbanas, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 80-96 for the furnishing of a wheelchair accessible van for use by the Parks & Recreation Department's Special Recreation Division; and, WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon bids from the following: VENDOR BID Metro Ford $38,391.94 Independence, MO Olathe Ford Olathe, KS $39,207.00 and, WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to Metro Ford of Independence, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and, WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to enable the County to purchase a wheelchair accessible van for use by the Parks & Recreation Department's Special Recreation Division through a donation from the law firm of Shook, Hardy & Bacon; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1996 Park Fund: DEPARTMENT/DIVISION CHARACTER/DESCRIPTION FROM TO Increase Revenue $25,000 Unappropriated Surplus $25,000 Unappropriated Surplus 25,000 Division of Operations Parks Department Special Recreation Automobiles 25,000 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director and that the Purchasing Director is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract...Attorney Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
