Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office and Department of Corrections have a continuing need for Lexipol customizable software to manage, track, and update their policies, procedures, and training; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Sheriff recommend the award of a contract for annual software subscription for this software to Lexipol, LLC, of Frisco, TX, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $60,169.00, as a sole source purchase; and,
WHEREAS, award as a sole source is recommended because the software is of a proprietary nature and continued access to the software can only be provided by Lexipol; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Sheriff, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
