Body
WHEREAS, the Pick Up Truck Overtime STEP Enforcement Project conducted by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department has been awarded projected reimbursement funds totaling $2,000.00 from the Missouri Safety Center; and,
WHEREAS, this project promotes seat belt usage among drivers of pick up trucks; and,
WHEREAS, the reimbursement funds will cover overtime expenses for the STEP enforcement project during the week of May 7 to May 13, 2006; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Grant Fund to cover the Pick Up Truck Overtime STEP Enforcement Project reimbursement program for the Jackson County Sheriff's Department funded by the Missouri Safety Center:
