IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the Chair of the Fiscal Commission to execute an agreement with the Niles Home for Children, in the amount of $30,000 on the recommendation of the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission. Intro RESOLUTION #10658, February 13, 1995 INTRODUCED BY: Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinance #1771, #1795 and #1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has reviewed a proposal from the Niles Home for Children (Niles) to provide counseling for adolescents affected by substance abuse; and, WHEREAS, Niles submitted a proposal for this funding for its work with adolescent substance abusers from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Trust Fund in the amount of $30,000; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed this 1995 proposal from Niles; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended funding in the amount of $30,000 from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax for Niles' proposal; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chair of the Fiscal Commission is hereby authorized to enter into the attached agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with Niles; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
