IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE appropriating $200,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1998 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund to cover the Drug Court Enhancement Grant funded by the United States Department of Justice and the local match thereto. Intro ORDINANCE #2860, October 13, 1998 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the County has been awarded a grant in the amount of $200,000.00 from the United States Department of Justice to fund the County's Drug Court Enhancement Program; and, WHEREAS, this grant is subject to a $75,000 local match; and, WHEREAS, an appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 1998 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund is necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper accounts; and, WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1998 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund: DEPARTMENT/DIVISION CHARACTER/DESCRIPTION FROM TO Anti-Drug Sales Tax Grant Match 75,000 Grant Match Increase Revenue 200,000 Unappropriated Surplus 200,000 Unappropriated Surplus 200,000 Drug Court Enhancement Grant Other Contractual Services 85,179 Contracts/Consultants 184,821 Supplies 5,000 Attorney Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
