WHEREAS, the County has a need for armored car service; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200557 and a total of six (6) solicitations were distributed; and,
WHEREAS, two (2) responses were received of which one (1), Loomis Fargo & Company of Riverside, MO, was determined to be "Non-Responsive" due to that response's exception to the terms and conditions of the proposed contract which would limit their liability in the event of loss or damage. Therefore, the following bid was received:

and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of a twenty-four (24) month term and supply contract to PSI Armored of Topeka, KS, under the terms and conditions of Electronic Solicitation No. BB200557 as the best and lowest bidder; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriations; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Purchasing , and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
