Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 48-03 for
the Medical Examiner's Office Renovation Project; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon, bids from the following:
Contractor Base Bid
Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. $1,800,000.00
Lenexa, KS
Titan Construction Organization $1,847,000.00
Olathe, KS
Jenkins & Associates, Inc. $2,200,000.00
Shawnee Mission, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. of Lenexa, KS, for the reason that is has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that the County Executive be authorized to approve change orders to this contract, in an amount not to exceed 5% of the contract price, or $90,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and is hereby authorized to approve change orders to the contract, in an amount not to exceed 5% of the contract, for a total change order authorization of $90,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
