A RESOLUTION congratulating Wanda Graham on the occasion of her retirement after twenty years of service at the Jackson County Detention Center.

Body
WHEREAS, Wanda Graham joined the Jackson County Department of Corrections in 2002 as a support services technician; and,
WHEREAS, Wanda's quality performance was recognized by others and she was promoted to the leadership role of support services specialist; and,
WHEREAS, during her years of service, Wanda had a significant impact on the operation of the detention center and the daily operation of its laundry, where she coached, taught, and trained numerous associates; and,
WHEREAS, Wanda was instrumental in helping hundreds of inmates gain practical work experience in commercial laundry services, encouraging responsibility and pro-social conduct; and,
WHEREAS, in 2020 Wanda received the Public Employees Recognition Award for Leadership; and,
WHEREAS, Wanda has always been appreciated for her professionalism, high ethical standards, and integrity; and,
WHEREAS, Wanda's daily presence will be deeply missed by her colleagues who have benefited from her knowledge, effective problem solving, and positive support; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Wanda Graham on the occasion of her retirement and extends best wishes in all of her future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
