Body
WHEREAS, via Ordinance 5575 dated November 29, 2021, the Legislature previously appropriated $175,000.00 to provide for COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated Jackson County and 16th Circuit Court associates; and,
WHEREAS, through March 31, 2022, the County has spent $286,400.00 for COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated Jackson County and 16th Circuit Court associates; and,
WHEREAS, weekly testing was paused the week of March 18, 2022, when Jackson County was determined to have a low transmission rate according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to pay for the administered tests and prepare to restart the weekly testing of unvaccinated Jackson County and 16th Circuit Court associates and Jackson County Detention Center inmates if Jackson County is determined to have a medium or high transmission rate according to the CDC; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:
